On May 21, 2022, by virtue of your positions and the regulations of our dear party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), you will lord over our destinies as residents of Ifako-Ijaiye, when, through your votes, you will give us the candidate to represent the party for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat, Ifako-Ijaiye 01.
On that fateful day, you will carry the fate of all in Ifako-Ijaiye and your decisions will echo beyond the walls of our Local Government.
Like a child looks up to the mother, we all in Ifako-Ijaiye look up to you and trust that you will look beyond the now and make the right and informed decision for our Local Government.
As a Local Government, with regards to having a representative in Ifako-Ijaiye 01, residents can attest to the fact that we haven’t had it this good. We have tasted honey and the taste of beancake is now sour to us. We have found the taste of honey so soothing that we now crave the honeycomb.
Now, through you all, we will decide if the next step for us is a forward one or if we need to pack our bags and return to the land of nothingness – an Ifako-Ijaiye once enmeshed in mediocrity. As the decision draws near, beyond the politicking expected to take centre stage at this critical time, we need to build on the wins of the past 35 months and you will be the cynosure of all eyes.
Still wondering what the gains are? For the umpteenth time, I will touch on it, if it will help in your decision-making process.
Hon Adewale Temitope Adedeji (ATA) since inception of office, has given out over 1,000 free JAMB and GCE forms to deserving students in Ifako-Ijaiye.
This has been done through his educational initiative, ATA-EI. Beyond the free forms, there have been free tutorial classes to groom the students for the exams.
His responsiveness to issues bordering on the welfare of residents is top-notch; citing his various interventions on security.
Facilitation of infrastructure; empowerment programmes; employment opportunities for residents; welfare packages for party faithful and residents; donations to various religious bodies and the CDC, amongst many others are some of the things we need to build on to have a taste of the honeycomb.
So, I appeal to the delegates to vote continuity by casting their votes for the true son of JAH, Hon Adewale Temitope Adedeji (ATA) and cement their names in gold.
